Drappier

The harvest is manual and the vinifications are not very interventionist. Maison Drappier cultivates its vines in non-certified organic farming. The wines come from the first press and the alcoholic and malolactic fermentations are done in stainless steel tanks. Part of the breeding takes place in the magnificent cellars of Clairvaux Abbey. Among the wines of Maison Drappier, the Grande Sendree cuvee, from vines over 70 years old, which is the high-end cuvee of the domain. Another vintage, the Drappier Brut Nature zero dosage offers wines with a mineral style but well balanced by the perfect maturity of the grapes. The house of Drappier was one of the first ,over 50 years ago, to offer a saignee method(direct maceration of Pinot Noir or Meunier ) of rose and is also one of the few to offer a champagne without sulfhur (added). Furthermore, the Charles de Gaulle cuvee recalls that Drappier champagne was chosen by General de Gaulle to be served at these private receptions, Drappier champagne has also been served on the tables of the Elysee for a long time.
