Château Lafite Rothschild, an icon of Pauillac, redefines the excellence of Bordeaux red wines with ancestral savoir-faire. The 1975 vintage, the first of a new era under Eric de Rothschild, shines with elegance. Composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon, with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, this wine flourishes on a gravelly, chalky terroir with perfect drainage. The favorable climate of 1975 enabled optimum ripening of the grapes. Parcel-by-parcel vinification, with hand-picking and fermentation in wooden and stainless steel vats, precedes 18 to 20 months' ageing in new barrels. This wine offers aromas of cedar, blackcurrant and graphite, with a velvety texture, silky tannins and a long, spicy finish. An exceptional grand cru classé, perfect for a memorable tasting or a prestigious cellar.
