The Yann Durieux estate, set atop the hills of the Hautes-Côtes de Nuits in Messanges, Burgundy, embodies the skill of Yann Durieux, a winemaker committed to authenticity. Trained for a decade at Domaine Prieuré-Roch, he launched Recrue des Sens in 2010, farming his 3 hectares biodynamically with an uncompromising approach. The Les Ponts L21 cuvée, under the Vin de France appellation, is crafted from Pinot Noir sourced from a parcel near Vosne-Romanée. This 2021 vintage, vinified without sulphur or filtration, undergoes semi-carbonic maceration and ageing in old barrels.

On tasting, this still wine boasts a radiant ruby hue and a delicate nose of strawberry, rose petals, and damp earth, with a spicy hint. On the palate, it offers a fluid texture, light tannins, and fresh acidity, concluding with notes of red fruit and chalky minerality.
