Emmanuel Reynaud is the owner of the illustrious Chateau Rayas and Chateau des Tours, near Chateauneuf du Pape: a true star of the region, he heads an impressive constellation.

These 2 estates produce the eponymous wines but also the celebrated Chateau de Fonsalette, Pignan and Pialade (vinified at Rayas), as well as the appealing Domaine des Tours and Parisy (vinified at Chateau des Tours), across different appellations such as Vacqueyras, Côtes du Rhône or Vin de Pays de Vaucluse.
Like him, the 3 generations that preceded him, from Albert Reynaud to Jacques Reynaud, through Louis Reynaud, the Raynaud family embodies, much to his reluctance he would say, the legend of the Southern Rhône, and perhaps even of the entire French wine region.

Château Rayas

The Château Rayas Estate produces several Great Wines, known to all in the region and by enthusiasts of the Southern Rhône Valley and particularly of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape and Côtes du Rhône appellations. 

Château Rayas: the most legendary wine of Châteauneuf-du-Pape! 

Emmanuel Reynaud produces essential wines from the south of France. The red is an atypical 100% Grenache. It owes its uniqueness to the sandy soils facing due north of the vineyard and the use of whole clusters to craft this delicate wine aged in old foudres. The result is breathtaking: a wine with a Burgundian elegance that quickly makes one forget the traditional Châteauneuf-du-Pape canons. The white is also in the same vein. Made with Grenache Blanc and Clairette, it needs time to develop.

Pignan: another exceptional Châteauneuf-du-Pape!

Often mistakenly considered a second wine of Château Rayas, Pignan is indeed a wine in its own right and a true star of Châteauneuf-du-Pape as well! Unlike its cousin which is grown on sandy soil, Pignan comes from terraces of rounded pebbles. This is why it is considered the most traditional Châteauneuf-du-Pape expression from the Reynaud stable. This 100% Grenache traditionally exudes notes of leather, spices, and red fruits but never shows heaviness. Its sovereign balance and endless length make it one of the most sought-after red Châteauneuf-du-Papes. It is the ideal companion for a saddle of lamb or an eggplant gratin with bacon. A pélardon from the Cévennes or cèpes Bordelaise are also excellent table companions.

Fonsalette: Magnificent Côtes du Rhône from the Reynaud universe! 

A property of the Reynaud family since 1945, Château de Fonsalette covers about ten hectares of vines, woods, and olive trees. Grenache, Cinsault, Syrah as well as Clairette and Marsanne are cultivated there. From these are crafted wines under the Côtes-du-Rhône appellation – both white and red – that are reminiscent of the finesse of their older siblings from Château Rayas. Although from different terroirs and blends, they are vinified in the same place by the same team.

Pialade: the second Mythical Côtes du Rhône!

On tasting, aromas of candied red fruits lead the dance, all with great amplitude while remaining elegant and refined. Sometimes considered the "Little Wine of Rayas" as it is made with grapes that were not used for Rayas or Fonsalette... It remains incredible on tasting! 

Château des Tours 

Château des Tours, for its part, also produces magnificent wines, more accessible, that can be enjoyed a little younger. They span several appellations: Vacqueyras, Côtes du Rhône or Vin de Pays de Vaucluse.

The red Côtes-du-Rhône and Vin de Pays du Vaucluse are robust wines that please lovers of sun-drenched wines. Vacqueyras requires more time to develop but also to reveal more complexity.

Domaine des Tours 

Many cuvées are offered here under the Vin de Pays de Vaucluse appellation, showcasing the finest grape varieties from the Southern Rhône such as Grenache, Counoise, Syrah, Cinsault, Clairette... and even Merlot!

Parisy: A magnificent gastronomic rosé, classified as Vin de France! 

Formerly a table wine, this rosé which by its color recalls Bordeaux Clairet is made from a blend of Cinsault and Grenache. It's a true bomb of indulgence! An explosion of fruits in the mouth, like crushed strawberry, it's a rich wine with a suave side and unique in its kind.
