Which 2016 wine to buy? Our 2016 best buying advices
The 2016 Bordeaux wines are very well recommended beccause of their textured and tannic structures, their vibrant fruits and their great aging potential. The Bordeaux sweet white wines are balanced, pure and allow the Sauternes designation to show its best, as it was during other exceptional vintages such as 2005, 2007, 2009 or 2010.
In the Northern Rhone valley, the 2016 red wines are also to be sought-after, as there are well-balanced, aromatic and very elegant. The white wines of Saint Joseph and Saint Peray are all in finesse and charm. Same observation in the Southern Rhone, where the crisp freshness brings a beautiful balance that is a good sign of a great ageing potential. Same observations for the Rhone wines from Chateauneuf du Pape, Vacqueyras, Gigondas and Cairanne. Here again, some 100/100 ratings by Robert Parker: Chapoutier Ermitage Le Pavillon, René Rostaing Cote Rotie Cote Brune, Janasse Chateauneuf du Pape XXL…
The 2016 Corsican wines are refreshing. The 2016 red wines are enjoyable in their youth. In the South West region of France, the dessert wines are very well balanced. Interesting fact, the 2016 Alsace wines have been harvested very late for some of them (until January 2017!) delivering some very rare late harvest wines.
