Wines from Domaine du Vieux Télégraphe: buy at the best price
This estate in Bédarrides has belonged to the BRUNIER family since the end of the 19th century, and the 5th and 6th generations are at the helm of this property of over 100 hectares in the Châteauneuf du Pape appellation. The estate produces the Vieux Télégraphe cuvée (52 hectares of red from a single block, and 6 hectares of white) in the La Crau sector, highly regarded for its rounded pebbles resting on a thick layer of clay. This cuvée based on old vines of around 70 years (65% Grenache, 15% Mourvèdre, 15% Syrah and 5% Cinsault and other grape varieties) represents the flagship cuvée of the estate, and one can confidently say that even though its production is around 200,000 bottles per year, it is considered of very high quality.
