The history of Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande is deeply intertwined with the Pichon Longueville family. The original estate was established in the 17th century by Pierre de Mazure de Rauzan. In 1850, the estate was divided among the heirs of Baron Joseph de Pichon Longueville. The share going to his three daughters, including Virginie de Pichon Longueville, wife of Comte Henri de Lalande, became Château Pichon Longueville Comtesse de Lalande. In 1925, the estate was acquired by the Miailhe brothers, before May-Eliane de Lencquesaing, daughter of Edouard Miailhe, received this beautiful wine estate in 1978 and devoted herself entirely to it, continuing the work of the Comtesse de Lalande. Since 2007, the Rouzaud family, owner of the Maison de Champagne Louis Roederer, has given the château a new impetus, perpetuating a tradition of excellence carried forward by passionate figures.
