Chateau Pavie produces two red Bordeaux wines : Pavie's great wine, "Grand Vin de Pavie", and a second wine called "Arome de Pavie" since 2005 (that used to be called "Tour Simard", prior to that). Chateau Pavie has greatly improved its quality since Gerard Perse bought the estate. Indeed, the 1998 vintage was a qualitative turning point for the Pavie estate. The First Wine is powerful, structured and highly concentrated, with cherry, blackcurrant, liquorice, spice and smoky notes (and sometimes, balsamic vinegar, like in 2003). It reaches its best after at least 8 years in the cellar. For the greatest vintages, it can go up to 35 years. International critics have been full of praise for Domaine Pavie. Indeed, it got the maximum tasting notes score of 100 from Robert Parker (2000, 2005, 2009, 2010). The second wine, "Arome de Pavie", is softer, more accessible, and less oaky. It is to be enjoyed within 4 to 9 years to appreciate its fruity notes. Pavie's greatest vintages are 2015, 2014, 2010, 2009, 2005, 2003, 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998 , and 1990. Chateau Pavie's bottles are real gems. They are many wine enthusiasts' dream wine. What about your dream comes true?
