Jura Wine
The Jura is one of the smallest wine-growing areas in France, its remarkable white wines, red wines, or rose wines, are produced in very limited quantities.
Five grape varieties are vinified in the Jura, the local grape varieties: Savagnin, Trousseau, Poulsard, and others from the neighbouring region, Burgundy: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir. The wines of Jura reflectits terroir, unique in the world, with its yellow wines, straw wines or even its Macvin du Jura. The reputation of the great white wines of the Jura, mainly produced and especially from Chardonnay, is internationally recognised.
