Drawing on grape supplies based on 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, the Dom Pérignon style is often recognizable beyond the specific shape of its bottles, its fine texture and its tasty taste. Dom Pérignon produces only vintage wines, including a Brut vintage with a contemporary style, whose finesse can vary depending on the vintage (the 2009 is more sunny and exuberant); The brand also produces a rare vintage rosé, whose tangy notes harmoniously tends to the finish. In recent years, new cuvee have appeared: the "P2" and "P3" ranges, which are in fact old vintages, having reached their fullness, Plenitue in french, (hence the letter P). The P2 vintages are released from the cellar after 12 to 14 years and the P3 vintages after 20 years. These cuvées are generally ready to consume, and are produced in limited edition in 2 colours, in white as in champagne rosé. These “high fashion” Champagne wines offer a model of success in a delicate balance between complexity and accessibility, but do not remain within the reach of all budgets.
