The Château Lafite Rothschild estate is located in Pauillac, in the Haut-Médoc, north of Bordeaux. The vineyard covers approximately 112 hectares of vines, planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon (around 70%), complemented by Merlot, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot. The plots benefit from optimal sun exposure and a particularly well-draining Günz gravel soil, which forces the vine roots to plunge deep in search of water and nutrients.
