Château Angélus is one of the most iconic estates in the Saint-Émilion Grand Cru appellation. Promoted to the rank of Premier Grand Cru Classé "A" in 2012, the highest level of the classification, it shares this elite status with only a handful of properties before subsequently withdrawing from the classification. Its exceptional terroir, at the confluence of three hillsides facing due south, gives its wines an incomparable aromatic richness and tannic depth. It is this rare combination of soil, microclimate, and generational expertise that places Château Angélus at the pinnacle of the Bordeaux hierarchy.
