The Richard Leroy estate offers two dry chenin blanc cuvées sourced exclusively from its own plots: the Clos des Rouliers and the Noëls de Montbenault. The Clos des Rouliers, from a 0.7-hectare plot on sandy gritstone schist, offers a more immediate profile, with saline tension and aromas of fresh quince and almond. The Noëls de Montbenault, produced on two hectares of rhyolitic volcanic rock with fifty-year-old vines, is a denser and more austere cuvée, aged 18 months in new oak. Both wines have been marketed as IGP Vin de France since 2008, following deep disagreements with the INAO.
