What is the difference between Château Ducru-Beaucaillou and its second wine La Croix de Beaucaillou?
The fine wine of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou comes from the best plots and the oldest vines on the estate, with a very rigorous parcel selection. La Croix de Beaucaillou, its second wine, comes from younger vines or lots not retained for the final blend. More accessible in terms of price and maturity, it nonetheless shares the aromatic DNA of the estate, with that elegant and fruity character typical of Saint-Julien, and offers an excellent introduction to the world of Ducru-Beaucaillou.
