Discover the tasting report from one of our team members who had the chance to enjoy a wonderful evening on September 5th around 15 different wines from various terroirs! Bordeaux, Burgundy, Loire, Alsace, Champagne, Foreign Wines, Ice Wine etc...

Gosset Cuvée Hugues Capet :
A champagne with few bubbles, a rancio nose, nutty with mushroom notes. A lovely wine with dried fruit aromas.

Billecart Salmon 1996 blanc de blanc :
A slightly corky wine, still young with a present bubble. Quite straight with candied citrus notes.

Krug Grande cuvée :
A very complex and balanced champagne with an autolytic and yeasty nose....

Vincent Dauvissat Petit Chablis 2005 :
This wine is evolved and warm. One finds honeyed notes and a certain bitterness on the finish… somewhat disappointing.

Bernard Lott Puligny Montrachet les Nosroyes 2013 :
The acidity is pronounced but this wine offers a lovely mid-palate (greengage plum, peach) with marked oak… a pleasant wine!

Pascal Cotat Sancerre Mont Damnés 2005 :
A lovely wine with candied citrus. Honeyed notes and a lovely volume.

Joseph Drouhin Beaune Clos des Mouches 1996 :
The nose is slightly evolved (mushroom, dried fruits). The palate is taut with a volume reminiscent of 2002: this wine seems younger than it is... Very pleasant!
Furmint Szepsy Uragya 2011 :
A relatively rich wine with bitterness. One would expect something more taut.

Anne Gros Clos Vougeot Le Grand Maupertui 2007 :
Notes of black fruits and floral aromas. There is a lot of fruit, the tannins are melted on a fresh finish typical of the vintage… A very beautiful wine.

Roc de Cambes 2006 :
The oak is of a vulgarity worthy of an entry-level Rioja (vanilla, cinnamon...). It's a shame because there is a lot of fruit and a beautiful maturity/freshness balance…

Stag Leaps Cask 23 :
The alcohol is integrated, slightly milky, oaky, it's elegant... Very lovely nose of well-ripened black fruits. The palate is fleshy and full. The tannins are integrated: a lovely finish with freshness.

Dominus 1999 :
The nose is dusty. On the palate one finds cooked fruits with somewhat dry tannins. A wine with little fruit but a beautiful structure.

Montelena 1998 :
An elegant wine with beautiful balance, with a style close to a Médoc but with more alcohol.

Riesling spatlese Fritz haag 1997 :
A slightly evolved wine with candied orange and kumquat. Very nice.

Ice Wine Wayne Gretzky Estate 2012:
A beautiful freshness with aromas of overripe apples and candied fruits.
