To fully appreciate a Château Rieussec, it is recommended to serve it chilled, between 8 and 10°C, in a slightly tulip-shaped tasting glass that concentrates its complex aromas. If the wine is young, a light aeration of about thirty minutes in a decanter can help it express itself. In terms of food and wine pairings, Château Rieussec pairs wonderfully with pan-fried or semi-cooked foie gras, blue-veined cheeses such as Roquefort, but also with desserts based on exotic fruits or cream. Older, more evolved vintages reveal sublime pairings with sweet-and-savoury dishes or spiced cuisine.
