From Burgundy to Oregon, one could say yet another page in the history of Pinot Noir is written in the Willamette Valley on the famous hills of the superb terroir of Ribbon Ridge, whose production is widely renowned and, it must be said, the terroir is exceptional. Moreover, it's noteworthy that Robert Parker seeks out and appreciates the wines and can only but produce the best possible wines. From day one of the domaine Beaux Freres, the guiding philosophy has been to intervene as little as possible and to prioritise an agricultural practice in harmony with the soil to produce the most authentic wines possible. The vines at Beaux Frères are cultivated biodynamically over their 10 hectares, which was planted in 1988, meaning the vines have reached at least 30 years And they have not ceased to improve. A second parcel in the north of the winery called Upper Terrace was planted (in Pinot Noir) as recently as 2000. The Domaine Beaux Frères produce one of the best wines in the world, according to the Wine Spectator, who regularly class the wine from 90 to 97 points and elected the Pinot Noir "Ribbon Ridge" - The Beaux Frères Vineyard 2014 - as the 3rd best wine in their Top 100 wines of the world in 2016/2017 with a note of 95. The 2014 is widely hailed as one of the greatest vintages of Oregon. The Beaux-Frères Vineyard 2009 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley displays a rather seductive Burgundian nose, with beautiful complexity and depth, carrying notes of small red fruit, spices and enhanced by an aspect floral and vegetal of dried tea leaves. The mouth is velvety and fine with wonderful balance and length.  It has nothing of the stereotypical imposing aspect found in certain American wines. In short, a beautifully seductive Pinot Noir, definitely to be discovered by fans of the Burgundian style.
