The Beaucastel estate, located in Courthézon in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region of southern Rhône, is a renowned institution managed by the Perrin family across five generations. Celebrated for its 130 hectares under organic farming, this domain excels in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, thanks to a terroir of rolled pebbles. The Châteauneuf-du-Pape 2022 cuvée, a still red wine, blends all 13 permitted grape varieties, led by Grenache (30%), Mourvèdre, and Syrah, vinified in vats and aged for 12 months in oak foudres.
On tasting, this wine reveals a deep garnet hue and a powerful nose of blackberry, garrigue, and gentle spices, with a hint of leather. On the palate, it delivers a structured texture, silky tannins, and a long finish, marked by notes of liquorice and black pepper.
