The Pavillon Blanc 2010 from Château Margaux, drawn from Bordeaux gravels, is a dry white wine of great precision. This barrel-aged Sauvignon Blanc offers notes of citrus and white flowers. Taut and velvety palate, long finish. Ideal over 10 to 15 years with shellfish or fish.
A historic Bordeaux estate, classified Premier Grand Cru in 1855, Château Margaux has embodied viticultural excellence for centuries.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone gravels of Margaux, fine and deep gravel soils that sculpt the elegance and minerality of its wines.
- Vinification: Traditional methods combining technical precision and respect for the fruit, for cuvées of rare purity.
Tasting Notes for Château Margaux Pavillon Blanc 2010
To the eye – A pale yellow robe with green highlights, of crystalline clarity and silky texture, like a veil of light across the glass.
On the nose – Vibrant aromas of lime and pink grapefruit, followed by deeper notes of orange blossom and Thai lemongrass, lifted by a saline touch of crushed stone.
On the palate – A lively and precise attack, carried by a taut acidity and chalky minerality, wrapped in a creamy texture that stretches into a long, elegant finish.
Serve between 10 and 12°C, in a white Bordeaux-style wine glass to release its full complexity.
Vintage 2010
A sun-drenched vintage where summer heat concentrated the aromas while preserving remarkable freshness.
- Aging potential: 15 to 20 years, to be kept under optimal conditions (stable temperature, controlled humidity and away from light).
