The Pavillon Blanc 2015, signed by Château Margaux, reveals the purity of Bordeaux's gravelly soils. This Sauvignon Blanc, aged eight months in barrels (20% new oak), captivates with its notes of grapefruit and white flowers. Lively and silky, it pairs beautifully with oysters or will reward cellaring for twenty years.
A historic Bordeaux estate, Château Margaux has embodied viticultural excellence for centuries, combining family tradition with technical precision.
- Terroir: Located in the Margaux appellation, its gravelly and clay-limestone soils, bathed by the Garonne, lend the wines a mineral elegance and a characteristic tension.
- Vinification: A rigorous selection of plots and carefully controlled barrel aging reveal the purity of the fruit and the complexity of the great white wines of Bordeaux.
Tasting notes for Château Margaux Pavillon Blanc 2015
On the eye: A pale golden robe of crystalline clarity, reflecting a silky texture and a rare precision of substance.
On the nose: Aromas of white peach and pink grapefruit blossom into notes of acacia flowers, before giving way to a saline and chalky touch — the signature of the gravelly terroir.
On the palate: The attack is lively, carried by a taut acidity that guides a saline minerality toward a long and elegant finish, where candied citrus and a discrete hint of vanilla intertwine.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a Bordeaux-style white wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
