This wine bar, located somewhat outside the center of Bordeaux, offers an absolutely incredible wine selection, with very few wines from the Bordeaux region but everything that could please a wine lover, whether they are discerning or "label-conscious".
The establishment's cellar displays 1,300 references, reasonably priced, with gems (Fourrier in the Burgundy region, hard to find in France, Calcutt in the Loire...), wines already at maturity (Chablis Forest Dauvissat 2000 at 40 euros), but also classics (Domaine de la Romanée Conti, Rayas, Sauzet, Rougeard, Chave, Tempier, Huet, Gérin, Raveneau, Coche Dury).
The market cuisine is successful and, while the choice is limited, it changes regularly (we enjoyed a very lovely 7-hour leg of lamb that evening) and always consists of fresh products.
For the wine, we opted for a blind tasting, and left the choice to Fabrice Moisan who had some surprises in store for us, including a very ripe Pinot Noir 2012 from Gerard Schueller (14.5% alcohol) and very indulgent, and a -more classic- Vouvray Huet Sec 2005 le Mont. 2 wines priced around 30 euros.
