U Stiliccionu wines: buy at the best price

Based in Serra di Ferro, in the granitic Taravo valley south of the Ajaccio appellation, the domaine U Stiliccionu is one of the most sought-after names in contemporary Corsican wine. Sébastien Poly took over in 2006 the few hectares of old vines left by his grandfather, planted in the 1960s and never touched by chemicals. A pioneer of natural viticulture on the island, he farms his vineyard using certified Demeter biodynamics and refuses every oenological crutch: no selected yeasts, no filtration, no added sulfites on almost all of his cuvées. His sciaccarellu reds, from the appellation's flagship grape variety, impress with their dense, fleshy texture but above all with their finesse, their powdery tannins, and their incredible drinkability.
