Estate created by the Loire star of Sauvignon Blanc: Didier Dagueneau
Having passed away prematurely in 2008, Didier Dagueneau left as a legacy to his two children what is probably the most renowned estate dedicated to Sauvignon in the world (Domaine Didier Dagueneau in Pouilly Fumé in the Loire) but also a smaller estate in the Jurançon region: Les Jardins de Babylone.
Sorry for the inconvenience.
Although they do not claim any organic certification, they are deeply committed to working in the vineyards and opposed to the use of herbicides. They produce the finest Jurançon, both dry and sweet, from 3 hectares using the Petit Manseng grape variety. What impresses in this latest cuvée, Les Jardins de Babylone, is its balance. Thanks to a beautiful acidity, the wine gives the impression of being off-dry while it can easily flirt with 80 grams of residual sugar per liter: a remarkable feat of integration!
Discover other estates from the Southwest such as Clos Joliette, Camin Larredya, Souch, Cauhapé, Aydie, Bouscassé, Clos Triguedina, Elian Da Ros, and Montus at Vins & Millésimes, which offers you the opportunity to purchase online the finest bottles of Southwest red, Southwest white, and Southwest rosé wines!
