This wine bar, located slightly outside the centre of Bordeaux, offers an absolutely incredible selection of wines, with very few wines from the Bordeaux region but everything that can appeal to a wine lover, whether they are a connoisseur or "label-conscious".
The establishment's cellar boasts 1,300 references, sensibly priced, with gems (Fourrier in the Bourgogne region, hard to find in France, Calcutt in Loire...), wines already at their peak (Chablis Forest Dauvissat 2000 at 40 euros), but also classics (Domaine de la Romanée Conti, Rayas, Sauzet, Rougeard, Chave, Tempier, Huet, Gérin, Raveneau, Coche Dury).
The market cuisine is a success and, while the menu is limited, it changes regularly (that evening we enjoyed a lovely 7-hour leg of lamb) and always features fresh produce.
For the wine, we opted for a blind tasting and left the choice to Fabrice Moisan, who had a few surprises in store for us, notably a very ripe (14.5% alcohol) and very indulgent 2012 Pinot Noir from Gerard Schueller, and a more classic 2005 Vouvray Huet Sec le Mont. 2 wines priced at around 30 euros.
