The Cros Parantoux is a 0.71-hectare vineyard located in Vosne-Romanée, once a wasteland transformed by Henri Jayer using dynamite to break through the rock and plant vines in the 1950s. Classified as a Premier Cru, it is often regarded by connoisseurs as a Grand Cru, such is the remarkable complexity, minerality and depth it displays. The annual production of Domaine Emmanuel Rouget from this mythical plot does not exceed 3,000 to 3,500 bottles, making it one of the most sought-after and rarest cuvées in all of Burgundy.
