Hervé Souhaut Syrah 2020

The Hervé Souhaut estate, based in Arlebosc in Ardèche within the northern Rhône, is the creation of Hervé Souhaut, an artisanal winemaker devoted to natural wines. Since 1993, he has tended 5 hectares of old vines on granitic slopes, farmed biodynamically, while championing local grape varieties. The Syrah 2020 cuvée, under the Vin de France appellation, is a still red wine made entirely from Syrah, vinified with carbonic maceration and aged in old barrels, with no added sulphur.

On tasting, this wine displays a radiant ruby hue and a vibrant nose of fresh red fruits, such as redcurrant and cherry, accented by floral and peppery notes. On the palate, it offers a juicy texture, light tannins, and lively acidity, finishing with hints of violet and graphite. Perfect with grilled sausage or ratatouille, the Hervé Souhaut Syrah 2020 captivates with its freshness and authentic character.
