Born on the gravelly soils of Pomerol, Château Lafleur 2020 Magnum blends Merlot and Cabernet Franc with elegance. This oak barrel-aged wine reveals notes of blackberry and spice. Its silky, mineral palate pairs beautifully with a rib of beef or truffles.
A family estate rooted in the heart of Pomerol, where time has been shaping wines of rare elegance for generations.
- Terroir: 4.5 hectares of sandy-clay gravels and gravelly sands, the cradle of great Bordeaux wines, where Merlot and Cabernet Franc thrive in harmony.
- Vinification: a meticulous approach, balancing tradition and precision, with long ageing in French oak barrels to reveal the purity of the fruit and the mineral complexity.
Tasting notes for Château Lafleur 2020 Magnum
To the eye – a deep red robe with garnet reflections, dense and silky, like a liquid velvet capturing the light.
On the nose – aromas of wild blackberry and black cherry intertwine with notes of violet and liquorice, before a chalky touch and a subtle salinity come to underscore the depth of the bouquet.
On the palate – a smooth yet taut texture, carried by a lively acidity and a persistent minerality, stretching into a long, precise finish where gentle spices and ripe fruits intertwine.
