Nestled at the summit of the Pomerol plateau, this legendary estate has embodied Bordeaux excellence for generations, shaped by the passion of the Moueix family and an exceptional terroir.
- Terroir : Unique blue clay, the heart of the Pomerol appellation, conferring an unmatched mineral density and depth to the wines.
- Vinification : Meticulous crafting, ageing in selected oak barrels, for cuvées of rare elegance and precision.
Tasting notes for Pétrus 2019 Magnum
To the eye – A deep purple robe with garnet highlights, of silky density and crystalline brilliance, heralding a generous and refined character.
On the nose – An enchanting bouquet where ripe dark fruits (blackberry, blackcurrant), fresh violets, a touch of soft liquorice and a mineral hint reminiscent of the terroir's clay intertwine.
On the palate – A velvety, almost unctuous texture, carried by a lively acidity and a chalky minerality, with remarkably fine tannins and a finish of saline, persistent length.
Serve between 17 and 18 °C, in a Bordeaux glass to release its full complexity.
