Domaine La Rogerie is a young, confidential and exciting address, born from the meeting of two great vineyards in eastern France. In Alsace, the estate breathes new life into the granitic terroirs of Niedermorschwihr and Turckheim, through exceptional Rieslings from prestigious crus. Led by Justine Boxler, from the renowned Boxler family established in Niedermorschwihr, and her husband François Petit, the estate works in organic and biodynamic farming, with a rare attention to detail and a constant pursuit of purity. The wines, vinified with minimal intervention, reveal the quintessence of their soils.

Domaine La Rogerie is the fruit of a love story between two regions and two families of wine growers. Justine Boxler comes from a lineage established in Niedermorschwihr, in Alsace, since 1640, renowned in particular for Domaine Albert Boxler. François Petit, for his part, hails from Avize, at the heart of the Champagne Côte des Blancs. Rather than choosing between their two home terroirs, the couple decided to embrace them both, and to reveal the best of each.
The adventure began in 2015, when Justine and François took over the family vines and immediately embarked on a profound transformation of their viticultural practices. From that very first year, they established a cellar in Alsace in order to vinify on site, true to their commitment to being fully present in both regions. Officially founded in 2018, the estate has since flourished as a bi-regional house, certified in organic farming in both Champagne and Alsace. Gradually, Justine's family entrusted her with plots in Alsace, enabling the estate to deploy its expertise on the finest crus there.
In Alsace, Domaine La Rogerie expresses itself primarily on granite terroirs, which rank among the noblest in the region for the Riesling grape variety. The vines are located around Niedermorschwihr, Justine Boxler's home village, on the fabulous Grand Cru Sommerberg, as well as in Turckheim, on the Grand Cru Brand. These steep hillsides, east-facing on the foothills of the Vosges massif, offer granite soils that bring finesse, mineral tension and great ageing potential to the wines.
In their often old vines, Justine and François foster biodiversity with rare attention. They plough using horses and light tractors, have eliminated herbicides and pesticides, use homemade compost and sow green manures to preserve soil vitality without resorting to artificial treatments. This approach, which stimulates root depth and microbial life, aims to extract the most faithful purity from each plot. The Alsatian production, still young and limited to a few crus, stands out for a quality that was immediately noticed by international critics.
The estate's philosophy in the cellar is simple yet demanding: to intervene as little as possible so as to let the terroir express itself. The Rieslings are vinified plot by plot, without artifice, in order to reveal the nuances specific to each sector. The ageing takes place notably in barrels, sometimes in demi-muids of several hundred litres, which brings depth and complexity while preserving the freshness and salinity characteristic of granite soils.
This pursuit of naturalness and precision yields wines that are straight, intense and authentic, built for fine ageing. The cuvées are generally released after extended ageing, sometimes a year longer in bottle, so that the wines reach a harmonious balance before coming to market. The result is a chiselled and vibrant style, which has rapidly earned the estate outstanding ratings and a place of choice on the finest tables.
Riesling Grand Cru Sommerberg, Niedermorschwihr: this is the estate's emblematic cuvée in Alsace, from Justine Boxler's home village. Born on the granite terroir of the Sommerberg, this Riesling reveals an enchanting nose blending exotic freshness and orchard fruits. On the palate, it combines depth, aromatic complexity and mineral freshness, with a saline thread and fine bitter notes that speak to flawless balance. Stony and concentrated, marked by notes of kumquat and a long, refreshing finish, it is a wine built for great ageing, best decanted in its youth.
Riesling Grand Cru Brand, Turckheim: the estate's second great Alsatian signature, this Riesling comes from the Grand Cru Brand, in the commune of Turckheim, and notably from plots located on the northern slopes of the cru, on granite soils. More reductive and taut in its youth, it is distinguished by its zesty freshness, its intensity and its concentration, with a complex and saline finish. A terroir wine of great purity, it illustrates, alongside the Sommerberg, the estate's ability to sublimate Alsatian granite into very great age-worthy whites.
