Chateau Chasse Spleen produces 3 Bordeaux red wines: The Grand Vin de Chasse Spleen, Oratoire de Chasse Spleen, and Heritage de Chasse Spleen (which used to be called Ermitage de Chasse Spleen until 2000) and a Bordeaux white wine: le Blanc de Chasse Spleen. The Grand Vin of Chasse Spleen is a rich wine with character, and, in recent years, it acquired great depth, and particularly silky tannins in 2015. This wine reaches its optimum between 5 and 18 years The second wine Oratoire of Chasse Spleen comes from the selection of plots and tanks not selected for the 1st wine: it is therefore a lighter and more accessible wine, to be consumed within 5 to 10 years. Finally, the third wine Heritage of Chasse Spleen produced in the Haut Medoc is quite supple and silky but of medium ageing capacity, to be drunk after 3 to 7 years of ageing. The great vintages of Chateau Chasse Spleen estate for red wines are: 2015, 2014, 2010, 2009, 2008, 2005, 2003, 2001, 2000, 1990, 1989 and 1986. The Blanc de Chasse Spleen white wine created in 1995 is marketed as a simple Bordeaux appellation. It is made up of 65% sauvignon and 35% sémillon from 2Ha of vines. It is a fairly full-bodied and woody wine, to be kept (5 to 8 years). Chasse Spleen wine is really appreciated since it is a very fine wine from Moulis, often marked between 87 and 92/100. The value for money is good, and that's what will make wine enthusiasts choose the Chasse Spleen over others, especially for the greatest vintages.
