All wines from the Costières de Nimes appellation in the Rhône Valley
South of Nîmes, the Costières de Nimes appellation extends over 4,033 hectares in the southern Côtes du Rhône (up to the Languedoc border). Winemakers of this appellation produce 75% red wines and 25% white wines. The reds are made primarily from Grenache, which must represent at least 25% of the blend, and Carignan, whose proportion is decreasing in favor of Syrah and Mourvèdre, each of which must represent at least 20% of the blend. These sun-drenched wines are concentrated, opulent and warm, with ever-improving quality thanks to dynamic producers such as Châteaux de l'Amarine, de Beck, de Nages, Mas de Bressades, Scamandre Renouard...
