All wines from the Condrieu appellation in the Rhône Valley

Condrieu is an appellation in the Rhône Valley, neighboring Côte Rôtie (Northern Rhône), spread across 7 communes and producing only white wines, 100% Viognier. The steep granite slopes overlook the Rhône over 124 hectares and allow no mechanization. Yields in Condrieu are low, 35 hl/ha on average, which explains the high prices of these wines. The color of a Condrieu is pale yellow with golden reflections, the nose is very aromatic, with notes of vine flowers, apricot, violet. Château Grillet is an enclave within the Condrieu appellation, planted exclusively with Viognier as well, and a single property gives its name to this appellation, which extends over 3.4 hectares. Its wines are more mineral than Condrieu, endowed with great freshness and beautiful length on the palate, as well as longer aging potential.
