Wines from the Anne & François Gros estate: buy at the best price

François Parent joined his vineyard to that of Anne Françoise Gros in 1998. They now farm 10 hectares of vines together. They live in Pommard, but the cellars, winery and production building are in Beaune. The winemaking process is the same for all appellations. Differences arise during cellar ageing, with varying proportions of new barrels depending on the cuvée. The grand crus are aged in 100% new barrels, while the village and 1er cru wines receive, depending on the vintage, 40 to 60% new barrels. Beyond the grand crus Echézeaux and Richebourg, the estate holds some interesting premier crus such as Pommard Les Arvelets and Pézerolles, as well as Savigny Clos des Guettes and Beaune Les Boucherottes. Certain village wines are also noteworthy, such as the Vosne-Romanée Aux Réas, situated in the extension of the eponymous Clos.
