In the village of Vosne-Romanee in the Cote de Nuits, Burgundy, there are 6 Grands Crus, including Richebourg. Along with Romanee-Conti and La Tache, it is the most sought-after cru in Vosne-Romanee. It covers 8 ha and belongs to a dozen of owners, including Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Domaine Leroy, Meo-Camuzet, Mongeard Mugneret, Roche de Bellene, Thibault Liger Belair and the family Gros. Its wines are elegant, of incomparable length and aromatic intensity (floral nose, black and red fruits, with present but velvety tannins), and are among the greatest wines in the world. Several decades are necessary for its development.
