Benoît Déhu La Rue des Noyers Blanc de Noirs Brut Nature 2015 (Fossoy, Vallée de la Marne) is a champagne made entirely from Pinot Meunier. Barrel-fermented without malolactic fermentation, it delights with its chalky minerality and notes of dried pear. Its lively, silky palate pairs well with seafood and aged cheeses.
A family estate rooted in Fossoy, where vines and limestone have been intertwined for generations.
- Terroir: Chalky soils of the Vallée de la Marne, home to exceptional Pinot Meunier shaped by a temperate climate and exposed slopes.
- Winemaking: Artisanal and respectful, using local oak barrels and extended aging to produce champagnes of mineral purity.
Tasting notes for Benoît Déhu La Rue des Noyers blanc de noirs Brut Nature 2015
Appearance: Golden color with green highlights, a silky texture and crystalline brilliance, like limestone catching the light.
On the nose: Aromas of ripe Williams pear, sun-dried herbs and linden flowers, with a saline touch evoking sea air carried on the winds of the Marne.
On the palate: A lively, precise opening, driven by taut acidity and chalky minerality, gives way to a long, elegant finish combining dried fruit and gentle spice.
Serve at 8–10 °C in a tall flute to preserve its freshness and aromas.
