Champagne Drappier Brut Nature, a 100% Pinot Noir cuvée from the chalky soils of the Côte des Bar, is made with no dosage. White-fruit and citrus aromas, a lively, saline palate and a brioche finish make this a precise champagne, ideal as an aperitif or with seafood. Serve at 7 °C.
A family-owned house rooted in Urville since 1808, Drappier embodies a commitment to champagne dominated by Pinot Noir, shaped by chalky terroir and thoughtful winemaking.
- Terroir: The chalky soils of the Côte des Bar, a heartland of Pinot Noir, where the continental climate lends the wines refined minerality and tension.
- Winemaking: A low-intervention approach—gravity, native yeasts and extended aging—to reveal the purity of the fruit and the terroir’s salinity.
Tasting notes for Drappier Brut Nature
Appearance – Vermilion-gold with copper highlights and a stream of fine, persistent bubbles, creating a silky, airy impression.
On the nose – Aromas of Williams pear and tart apple intertwine with notes of red currant and fresh raspberry, giving way to a saline touch and a hint of gentle spice, like a breath of sun-warmed chalk.
On the palate – A lively, precise attack, with taut acidity guiding a fleshy, chalky texture; the minerality carries through to an elegant, vibrant finish with saline and brioche notes.
Serve at 7 °C in a narrow champagne flute to preserve the freshness and finesse of the bubbles.
