Clos Venturi Chiesa Nera 2019 white from Clos Venturi comes from Corsica’s high-altitude slopes, where Biancu Gentile, Vermentinu and Genovese thrive on sandstone. Aged in concrete tanks, this dry white offers aromas of white fruit, citron and maquis herbs. On the palate, minerality meets silky density, with a fresh, citrus-tinged finish. Enjoy through 2029 with grilled fish or goat cheese.
A historic estate established in 2005 from the best terroirs of the Vico estate, rooted in the heart of Corsica, where winemaking heritage meets exacting standards in the vineyard.
- Terroir: High-altitude vineyards (400–480 m) on sandstone soils, facing south/southeast, shape wines of vibrant minerality and saline freshness.
- Winemaking: A precise, respectful method—cold pre-fermentation maceration, fermentation in egg-shaped concrete tanks and aging on fine lees—to bring out the pure expression of indigenous grape varieties.
Tasting notes for Clos Venturi Chiesa Nera 2019 white
In the glass: Straw yellow with green highlights, silky clarity and a chalky brilliance.
On the nose: Ripe white fruit aromas—pear and white peach—lifted by notes of wild maquis herbs, citron blossom and mandarin, with an underlying saline touch.
On the palate: A dense, elegant texture, supported by lively acidity and taut minerality, leads to a long, precise finish mingling candied citrus and aromatic herbs.
Serve at 8°C in a medium-sized white wine glass to reveal its complexity.
