Danjou Banessy Côtes Catalanes Roboul 2022 from Domaine Danjou-Banessy comes from the clay-limestone terraces of the Agly in Roussillon. Cherry, blueberry and garrigue notes accompany 14 months of barrel aging. Silky, lively and mineral, this red can be cellared for a few years and pairs with roast poultry.
Nestled in the heart of Roussillon, this family estate brings together a winemaking heritage and a pursuit of authenticity led by brothers Benoît and Sébastien Danjou-Banessy.
- Terroir : The vines thrive on the terraces of the Agly, where clay-limestone soils scattered with rounded pebbles shape wines with distinctive minerality, rooted in the Côtes Catalanes appellation.
- Winemaking : An artisanal, biodynamic approach in which native yeasts, barrel aging and minimal intervention preserve the purity of the fruit and the expression of the terroir.

- In the glass : Pale ruby, silky and luminous, suggesting a wine of understated elegance.
- On the nose : A fresh, deep bouquet of cherry, blueberry and pomegranate, lifted by floral notes of crushed rose petals and jasmine tea, then opening onto hints of garrigue—wild thyme and rockrose—and a mineral touch of crushed stone.
- On the palate : A velvety opening, driven by lively acidity and mineral tension, with fresh red fruit balanced by a lingering saline finish.
Serve between 14 and 16°C in a Burgundy-style red wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
