From the stony terroir of La Crau, the Vieux Télégraphe Blanc 2024 blends Clairette, Grenache Blanc, and Roussanne. Aged in large oak barrels, this white Châteauneuf-du-Pape offers notes of yellow fruits and flowers. Fresh and mineral, it is best enjoyed after 2 to 3 years, ideal with shellfish or cheeses.
A family estate rooted on the plateau of La Crau since 1898, where terroir and time shape wines of rare authenticity.
- Terroir : Stony soils of the plateau de La Crau, in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation, where the Mediterranean climate and rounded galets sculpt mineral and precise wines.
- Winemaking : Aged on lees in large oak barrels and barriques, for whites of a silky texture and subtle aromatic complexity.
Tasting notes for the wine domaine du Vieux Télégraphe Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc 2024
- Appearance : Golden robe with green highlights, of crystalline clarity and an unctuous texture, like a veil of silk on the glass.
- On the nose : Aromas of white flowers — acacia and chamomile — intertwine with notes of candied stone fruits, toasted brioche, and a saline touch, evoking the crushed stones of the terroir.
- On the palate : A lively and tense attack, carried by a refreshing acidity, while the chalky minerality and flavors of ripe apple, pear, and dried herbs unfold into a long and salivating finish of rare elegance.
Serve between 12 and 14°C in a Burgundy-style white wine glass to reveal its full purity.
