How does Champagne Louis Roederer commit to sustainable and biodynamic viticulture?
135 hectares of the Louis Roederer vineyard are farmed organically, making it the largest organic farming estate in Champagne. In the vineyards, respect for biodiversity is paramount and the principles of biodynamics are playing an increasingly important role. Harvesting is done by hand and the fruit is pressed on-site at the point of harvest. This environmental commitment is also reflected in the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the use of lighter bottles.
