Château Pichon Longueville Baron is a Deuxième Grand Cru Classé of Pauillac whose singularity rests above all on its grape variety composition, heavily oriented towards Cabernet Sauvignon, which generally represents 60 to 75% of the blend. This dominance gives the wines an imposing tannic structure, a great ageing potential and an aromatic profile characteristic of Pauillac: blackcurrant, cedar, graphite and smoky notes. The estate also benefits from an exceptional geographical location, with vines adjoining those of Château Latour, on deep Günzian gravels that drain the soil perfectly and concentrate the ripeness of the grapes.
