Who is Jean François Ganevat and where does his reputation in the world of wine come from?
Jean François Ganevat, affectionately nicknamed "Fanfan" by those close to him, is a Jura winemaker established at the Combe de Rotalier since 1998. Before taking over the family estate, he forged his experience as a cellar master in Burgundy, notably at Jean-Marc Morey in Chassagne-Montrachet. Returning to his native Jura, he gradually built a worldwide reputation through a radically artisanal approach: strict single-plot selections, rare grape varieties, biodynamics and winemaking without additives. In 2018, the Revue des Vins de France named him winemaker of the year, definitively cementing his status as an icon of natural wine.
