The Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin 1er Cru 2020 Magnum expresses the minerality of Saint-Aubin's limestone soils. This Chardonnay, with notes of citrus and fresh bread, combines freshness and salinity on the palate. Aged in used barrels, it pairs beautifully with fish and will continue to develop until 2032.
A family estate rooted in the hillsides of Saint-Aubin, where Chardonnay flourishes under the watchful eye of three generations of winegrowers.
- Terroir: Steep limestone soils of Burgundy, where the south-facing exposure and old vines (planted in 1964) craft wines of vibrant minerality and rare tension.
- Winemaking: Fermentation with indigenous yeasts, patient ageing in used barrels – a pursuit of purity and complexity, without artifice.

To the eye: A golden robe with pale highlights, of crystalline clarity, where light dances on a silky and slightly unctuous texture.
On the nose: First, notes of candied citrus – yellow lemon and pink grapefruit – intertwined with ripe apple and Williams pear, before giving way to accents of iodine, fresh walnut and flint, all lifted by a saline touch and a discreet mineral smokiness.
On the palate: The attack is lively and precise, carried by a taut acidity that guides flavors of stone fruits and citrus zests toward a long, chalky finish, where the minerality stretches into a persistent salinity.
Serve between 12 and 14 °C in a Burgundy white wine glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2020
An early and generous vintage, in which the summer heat concentrated the aromas while preserving the characteristic mineral freshness of great white Burgundies.
- Ageing potential: Enjoyable now, with an evolution potential through 2032; store in a cool cellar (12–14 °C) away from light.
