The **Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes 2022 Jeroboam 3L** from **Domaine Hubert Lamy** is a pure **Chardonnay**, born on the clay-limestone soils of **Burgundy**. Aged in old barrels then in stainless steel, it captivates with its notes of citrus, white flowers and saline minerality. On the palate, its silky texture and graphite finish make it a precise and elegant wine. To be enjoyed from **2026** with oysters or grilled fish.
Since 1640, this family estate has embodied the soul of Saint-Aubin, where time shapes wines of rare purity.
- Terroir: 18.5 hectares in the Côte de Beaune, on Kimmeridgian clay-limestone soils, where altitude and East/South-East exposure reveal a chalky minerality.
- Vinification: Aged on the lees in old barrels, then in stainless steel, for a precise expression of Chardonnay, without artifice.
Tasting notes for Domaine Hubert Lamy Saint-Aubin 1er Cru Les Frionnes 2022
To the eye – A pale gold robe with green highlights, of a silky clarity, like a glint of limestone in the light.
On the nose – First, candied citrus fruits (lime, pink grapefruit), then white flowers (hawthorn, acacia), before a saline, almost iodine-tinged note emerges, reminiscent of sea foam on clifftops.
On the palate – A lively, almost electric attack that unfolds into a smooth, creamy texture, carried by a mineral tension and a long finish where graphite and a persistent salinity intertwine.
Serve between 10° and 12°C, in a Burgundy glass to reveal its full complexity.
Vintage 2022
A vintage in which freshness preserved the balance between fruit and minerality, offering an ideal structure for ageing.
- Ageing potential: Best enjoyed between 2026 and 2050; store away from light and temperature fluctuations.
