The Domaine Hubert Lamy Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru Haute Densité 2016: a high-altitude Chardonnay (240 m) from limestone soils. Notes of citrus and anise, lively minerality and silky texture after 24 months on lees. Ageing potential through 2030, ideal with seafood or risottos.
Heir to a family know-how rooted in Saint-Aubin, Domaine Hubert Lamy embodies the alliance between Burgundian tradition and viticultural boldness.
- Terroir: Clay-limestone soils and hillside plots of the Côte de Beaune, where each appellation reveals a chalky minerality and a characteristic tension.
- Winemaking: Patient ageing on lees in used barrels, spontaneous fermentation and respect for the fruit, producing wines of silky precision and saline length.
Tasting notes for the wine Domaine Hubert Lamy Criots-Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru Haute Densité 2016
To the eye – A pale gold robe with green highlights, of crystalline clarity and an almost oily texture, heralding a dense and vibrant substance.
On the nose – Aromas of candied lemon and bergamot intertwine with notes of star anise and linden blossom, before a saline touch underlines the chalky depth of the terroir.
On the palate – A silky attack and lively acidity, carried by a limestone minerality that unfolds into a long, spiced finish, where an elegant tension between freshness and complexity persists.
Serve between 12 and 14°C, in a Burgundy glass to release its most subtle nuances.
