Nestled in the heart of the Jura, this family estate combines a demanding winemaking heritage with deep respect for its terroir.
- Terroir: blue clay and friable schist soils on east-facing hillside plots within the Côtes du Jura appellation—a mineral setting where century-old vines flourish.
- Winemaking: a plot-by-plot, low-intervention approach, with aging on the lees in used barrels to preserve Chardonnay’s purity and reveal the character of the vineyard site.
Tasting notes for Domaine Labet Côtes du Jura Chardonnay En Billat
Appearance: gold with green highlights, silky and luminous.
On the nose: aromas of white flowers and candied citrus, followed by toasted hazelnut and a hint of salinity.
On the palate: a lively, precise opening, supported by chalky minerality and taut acidity, with a long finish that combines freshness and depth.
Serve between 10 and 12°C in a medium-sized white wine glass to bring out its nuances.
