The Hospices de Nuits estate, located in Nuits-Saint-Georges in the Côte de Nuits, Burgundy, is an institution founded in 1270, now managed by a dedicated team led by Jean-Marc Moron. This charitable 12-hectare domain excels in the Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru appellation. The Les Boudots Cuvée de Mesny de Boisseaux 2009 cuvée, a still red wine, is crafted entirely from Pinot Noir from the Les Boudots climat, on gravelly limestone soils, vinified in wooden vats and aged for 18 months in new and used barrels.
On tasting, this wine displays a deep ruby hue and a rich nose of ripe black fruits, such as black cherry, with hints of cocoa and leather. On the palate, it delivers a fleshy texture, silky tannins, and an elegant finish, marked by fine minerality and spicy notes. Perfect with coq au vin or matured cheese, the Hospices de Nuits Les Boudots 2009 captivates with its complexity and Burgundian refinement.
