Clos des Argillières 2020, a Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru from Domaine Prieuré Roch. This Pinot Noir, with its aromas of dark fruits and spices, combines minerality with silky tannins. Fresh and precise, it can be enjoyed through 2030 alongside game or poultry.

Nestled in the heart of Burgundy, this family estate has perpetuated since 1988 a winemaking heritage where biodynamics and precision meet.
- Terroir: The clay-limestone soils of Nuits-Saint-Georges, marked by deep clays, give the wines a fleshy structure and a chalky minerality.
- Vinification: Natural methods, respectful of the fruit, yielding cuvées where elegance vies with tension.
Tasting notes for Domaine Prieuré Roch Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru Clos des Argillières 2020
To the eye – A deep ruby robe with garnet reflections, of a silky density, like a liquid velvet catching the light.
On the nose – First notes of black cherry and wild blackberry, followed by a touch of liquorice and damp undergrowth, before a saline hint comes to underscore the chalky minerality of the terroir.
On the palate – A broad and velvety texture, carried by a lively acidity and a tannic framework of an almost creamy softness, stretching into a long and precise finish where gentle spices mingle with a subtle mineral bitterness.
Serve at 14–16°C in a Burgundy glass to release its full complexity.

A generous vintage, where summer warmth and autumnal freshness sculpted wines that are both fleshy and taut.
- Aging potential: 10 to 15 years; store in a cool cellar (12–14°C) away from light.
