The Domaine Zuria, based in Bonifacio, Corsica, is a family estate revitalised by Christian Zuria, who, alongside his wife Nadine and son Yvan, began replanting vines in 2010 on ancestral land. Spanning 11 hectares of limestone soils across Stintinu, Musella, and Spinella, this certified organic vineyard, transitioning to biodynamics, excels in the IGP Île de Beauté appellation. The Initiale 2023 Rouge cuvée, a still red wine, is crafted entirely from Sciaccarellu, vinified in concrete vats for a pure, fruity expression.
On tasting, this wine reveals a bright garnet hue and a generous nose of ripe red fruits, such as cherry, accented by pepper and floral hints. On the palate, it delivers a silky texture, fine tannins, and a refined finish, marked by delicate acidity and spicy notes. Perfect with roasted red meat or a wild mushroom sauté, the Domaine Zuria Initiale 2023 Rouge captivates with its freshness and authentic Corsican character.
