The Cairanne appellation, nestled in the Vaucluse (Rhône-Alpes), is an AOC recognized since 2016 for its red, white, and rosé wines, with a predominance of reds (95%). Spanning 850 hectares, it covers the commune of Cairanne and parcels of Rasteau and Sainte-Cécile-les-Vignes. Its unique terroir, blending clay-limestone soils and stony terraces, benefits from a Mediterranean climate and the mistral wind, producing structured red wines (Grenache, Syrah, Mourvèdre) with aromas of red fruits, spices, and garrigue. The white wines, based on Roussanne, Marsanne, and Viognier, offer floral notes. With an annual production of 30,000 hectoliters and controlled yields, Cairanne captivates Côtes-du-Rhône enthusiasts.
